Description: Create a set of three different logos. Show difference in graphic, textual, and color content.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Adobe Illustrator to make my logos. The tools that I used the most in Illustrator were the type tool, the shape tool and the pen tool.
Message: The message that I was trying to convey for these logos was a young online publishing company that is fun and interesting.
Audience: Target audience is writers and readers of books and e-books.
Top Thing Learned: I gained a greater appreciation for the critique process. When you are trying to convey meaning in a one inch width you need to be sure that what you were trying to say came across. By offering my logos up for critique I was able to gain valuable insight into what others saw and thought of my designs.
Three Color Scheme and Color Names: Logo 1 Triadic – green, orange, and purple. Logo 2 -monochomatic red(A&B) split complementary (C) red, orange, teal. Logo 3 complementary – indigo and gold.
Three sets of Title / Body Font Names & Categories: Logo 1 Tahoma- sans serif, Logo 2 Franklin Gothic Book – sans B Brush Script – decorative, Logo 3 Registry BRK – decorative and Centaur – serif
